Some great saving tips to travel AUSTRALIA ON A BUDGET
Traveling to Australia seems pricey option all the individuals planning a vacation for 2018! The airfare alone could make a huge hole in your pocket. I had been to Australia and New Zealand last year. It may not be as difficult as you think. I’ve put together some interesting tips to help you save money on your trip to Australia

1. Track the best rates for flight
Plan your travel at least 3-4 months before and track the flight rates. Australia is a pricey destination but it has some great offers too for the smart travelers. The Airlines promote on a frequent flyer or for some first flyers so it is easy to avail some really good discounts on the flight by using the Promo Codes or Offers.
2. Choose a Homestay
Staying with an Australian family is a wonderful way to interact with locals. Farm stays are also very attractive and budget-friendly option in Australia. One can get a genuine feel for the culture and people. Hotels and Resorts are pretty expensive in Australia so taking a Homestay or Farmstay can save a lot more than you imagine.
3. Use 7/11 and other stores
Major drinks are for $1 at 7/11! Also, snacks or ready to eat food are also darn cheap at these stores. You can buy milk, juices and many more things as they are expensive at the tourist place. I experienced the same with water. The bottles of water are also at good discounts at 7/11 which costs us pretty high at hotels and tourist places.
4. Go Camping
Australia is a tourist-friendly destination. The parks, public places, malls are very well equipped with all basic amenities. Camping is a very nice option for many destinations in Australia. It is an adventurous experience as well as cost-saving one.
5. Buy a Discount Card
You can purchase a discount card like iVenture Card. It works for popular tourist destinations in Australia like Sydney, Melbourne, and Tasmania. With this card, you can avail free entry to many tourist attractions. You can also avail special offers and discounts at many places
6. Take a Cruise
Australia has a really long and beautiful coastline if you want to save cost on transportation, consider a cruise. Cruise has entertainment, food, club, games, shows and everything to make your holiday fun. It can also save your time packing and unpacking things at different destinations.
7. Claim refund on your purchase
If you purchase some goods from a single retailer and the cost goes more than some 300 - 400 AUD then, you are eligible for a refund of the tax that you paid on those items. For that, you will have to save an original tax invoice from the store and present it when you depart Australia. I am not very sure about the latest numbers, but they have all the information available on their website.
8. Save on local transport
Try hopping on a bus or use the train if you have time. We may think it is complicated to know the timetable and the route of bus and other stuff. Public transport in Australia is really easy to understand and very user-friendly. Also, there are many routes where public transport is free!
For example, Brisbane has free service on several bus routes in the city center. Sydney also offers many free shuttles.
I am sure these tips are going to save a lot. I wish all the very best and amazing fun to all travelers planning to Australia in 2018.
