1. Follow the law
Even if you are a tourist, it is always best to follow all the rules and regulations. It is always better to be aware of the local law. Punishment in Botswana is more severe than any other country. As a tourist, we never want to spend time in the embassy when on vacation.
2. Be careful around wildlife
Most tour guides will know how to keep overly excited tourists instructed and disciplined. As an elephant won’t hesitate to stomp you into the ground if you go near to its watering hole. One such incident can just ruin all beauty and joy of the place. Animals do prefer their space and messing with that is indeed not humanly.
3. Be aware of carjacking
Carjackings have been taking place within Botswana’s urban areas near the borders. If in case this happens with you, don’t try to get into the fight. A rented car has all records. Only your stuff will be lost. But we can not predict the weapons they have. Don’t put yourself in any danger.
4. Don’t take expensive luggage
At some of the major airports in South Africa like Johannesburg and Cape Town International Airports, there is some incident of baggage theft. Losing your luggage can be a painful thing, the best way is to keep it unattractive to save from greedy’s eye.
