Itinerary

Your journey into the Rocky Mountains begins in Calgary, where the foothills of the Rocky Mountains meet the Great Plains. Upon arrival in Calgary, transfer to your hotel.  The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy this western city, legendary for its heritage and hospitality. Enjoy dinner in the evening and head back to the hotel for the night.

After breakfast, discover Calgary on a city tour including downtown, Chinatown, Au Claire Market, and the Kensington District. Take a short elevator ride to the top of the Calgary Tower and see an unsurpassed view of the Rocky Mountains to the west. Be sure to walk “out into space” by venturing onto the new glass floor and look directly below at the heart of the city. Leave the flat of the prairies behind and travel a short distance west to the spectacular Canadian Rockies. Upon arrival, explore Banff on a sightseeing tour with stops at Cascade Gardens, one of Canada’s finest historic landscapes and beautiful Bow Falls, later transfer to your hotel to check-in and relax.  Enjoy dinner in the evening.

After Breakfast, we will take you to Banff Gondola, which is located just 5 minutes from the town of Banff, on the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The 360 degree view from the upper gondola terminal, view-decks and Summit Ridge interpretive boardwalk, is the very best vantage point in the west. Safely seated in 4 passenger gondola cabins, visitors are transported in 8 minutes to the summit at an elevation of 2,281m (7,486 ft) above sea level. Later drive back to the hotel. The rest of your day is free for shopping and other personal activities.  Return back to the hotel and then transfer to a restaurant for dinner. Return to the hotel for the night.

After breakfast today, enjoy a day of scenic grandeur. Head to Lake Louise, its cold turquoise waters a perfect natural mirror reflecting the surrounding mountains and glaciers. Precipitous gorges, snow-capped summits, and lakes of exquisite blues and greens come into view.  Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and relax.  Enjoy dinner in the evening with friends and family.

After breakfast today, we leave for Jasper.  On the way to Jasper, we will stop at Columbia Ice field for a snow coach ride on the 1,000-foot-thick Athabasca Glacier (please note that unfavorable weather conditions may affect the availability of the Columbia Ice field snow coach excursion). Late this afternoon arrive in Jasper and check-in to your Hotel.

This morning after breakfast, take a half-day tour of one of the most spectacular areas of Jasper National Park. Visit shimmering Patricia and Pyramid Lakes and take a stroll over a rustic footbridge to Pyramid Lake Island. From there travel through the Maligne Valley in search of Osprey, eagle, big horn sheep, mountain goat, moose, elk, deer and bear. Stop at Maligne Canyon where 10,000 years of erosion have created a 165-foot deep gorge. Have your cameras ready, as both areas are rich in wildlife and scenery. This afternoon you will have leisure time to explore this beautiful city.  Afterwards, return back to the hotel, freshen-up, and have dinner.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then depart for Kamloops.  Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel, relax, and spend some time at leisure.  Dinner is served this evening at a local restaurant, after which you’ll head back to the hotel and retire for the night.

Today after breakfast, head out for Vancouver with a stop in Whistler on the way.  Today we will take for city tour in which you will see Stanley Park, Gastown, Chinatown, Robson Street, English Bay, Queen Elizabeth Park and Granville Island. You’ll have plenty of time to get off the Motor coach and spend some time enjoying each of these popular Vancouver attractions.

This morning, your tour takes you across to Vancouver Island aboard a large and comfortable BC Ferry for a spectacular 90-minute cruise through the Gulf Islands 'marine wonderland'.  Upon arrival on Vancouver Island (Swartz Bay), the tour will continue on to the world-renown Butchart Gardens with their 50-acre display.  Enjoy some free time in the Butchart Gardens, and then it's off to Victoria, BC's Capital City for a city tour. Highlights include Beacon Hill Park, Chinatown, Empress Hotel, and the Parliament Buildings.  Return to Vancouver in the late evening and have dinner.

Enjoy breakfast this morning and then depart for your next destination with wonderful memories!
