Today we will drive to Agra,en-route visiting the old deserted town of Mughal Dynasty,i.e Fatehpur Sikri [206 km; 3.5 hrs].Afterwards, drive to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and the Tomb of Itmad‐ud‐daula’s Tomb.Overnight at Agra hotel. [B]
In the morning relax and enjoy shopping in Agra. Then you’ll take a flight to Varanasi. On arrival, transfer to hotel. In the evening take a city tour of Sarnath: famous for its Dhamekh Stupa and for it being the place where Buddha preached his first sermon enshrining the principle of his teachings into laws. At dawn enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges, followed by a city tour covering Vishwanath Temple and Bharat Mata Temple. Overnight at hotel. [B]
After breakfast, depart for Bodhgaya [255 km;4.5 hrs].Stay there for two nights with excursions to Rajgir/Nalanda/Saptapari Cave & Venevamas.Above two days You will come across with many locales of Buddhist Significance,i.e,Rajgir:an important Buddhist Pilgrimage since the Buddha spent 12 Years here , and the first Buddhist Council after the Buddha Attained Nirvana was held here,Nalanda : Founded in the 5th Century known as center Of Intellectualism .Overnight at Bodhgaya Hotel.
Proceed to Vaishali [144 km; 2.5 hrs], a very special place to Buddhists as The Lord delivered his last sermon and announced his impending " Nirvana". See the majesty of Ashok Pillar, Lotus tank, Chaumukhi and proceed to Kushinagar [231 km; 4.5 hrs] where you will spend the night. [B]
In the morning visit Mahanirvana Temple, the modern Japan/ Srilanka Buddhist center and monasteries, then proceed to Lumbini [163 km; 2.9 hrs]. Overnight at hotel. [B]
Lumbini was the birthplace of the Buddha and is now located near the Nepal‐India border north of Gorakpur. Morning visit to Ashoka’s pillar (249 BC) rediscovered in 1890 inside the thick Sal forest, a temple of Mayadevi, the ruins of an old monastery and some new stupas. Then in the afternoon, proceed to Balrampur [159 km; 2.9 hrs]. En route visit Sravasti. where you will see the extensive ruins of this ancient city, as well as the Jetavana Monastery. On arrival transfer to Sravasti hotel.[B]
This morning take a city tour. Later you will drive to Lucknow [159 km; 2.8 hrs]. On arrival check-in into hotel. [B]
