Best ways to survive long layovers at airport
As we all Flights with layovers are cheaper than direct flights, but people prefer paying more and taking direct flights than waiting at the airports as it becomes very difficult to kill time waiting for the next flight. Here are some ways how you can make best out of your layover time.

1. Take a small trip
Some big Airports
offer fast and affordable transportation to the cities they serve are the
amazing places for an airport layover. In cities like Sydney, Washington, New
York, Chicago and Toronto, travelers can easily take public transport from the
airport to popular places and spend a half-day exploring the city.
2. Find a room
Many good airports
are designed with wonderful restrooms, where you can take a nap, or get fresh.
Sitting and waiting on the benches become a pain when the layover is more than
4 hours. One should always check for the room and give body some rest.
3. Go to Gym
Many airports have
gym equipment and set up to give people opportunity to lose some calories. All
the information about airport infrastructure can be found at the information
counters. But I recommend taking a walk around the airport.
4. Shop till you drop
Many airports have
wonderful shopping areas. Check for the duty-free items. Dubai is best in class
as far as shopping is concerned. There are many good promotions which they
specially design for the airport.

5. Eat local
If you are the foodie,
I would recommend to find some nice local restaurant and fill your stomach.
Airport food and airline food is like a pain for a typical foodie who will grap
bites thinking about every bit of it. So if you have an extra hour, you should
check for some good food and make your layover interesting.
6. Watch a movie
Most of the airports
have free wifi if the layover is not too long and you would like to be safe by
just staying at the airport, watching a movie online is also a good option. For
me, this would be the last thing as an option as a core traveler I would always
recommend to check the new places rather than just limit your eyes in the four
corners of a screen.
