There are many ways to explore The Great Barrier Reef, I would like to list all of them. You can book what according to your choice.
Sailing
Sailing on the Great Barrier Reef has to be the best way to go if you are someone who enjoys wind and spray of the ocean on your face. There are many experiences available for boats, you can try and plan the time duration of your sail and also the speed and the luxury.
Sea walking
You will be given a big spaceman’s helmet on your head. Then you have to step beneath the waves, keeping your head and face dry. You can meet Gavin, the parrot fish, and many other beautiful fishes! You can enjoy Seawalker at two specially equipped pontoons, one at Green Island and the other at Sunlover Reef Cruises.

Scuba
If you wish to explore it independently then try going with scuba diving. It may seem a little unnatural breathing air under the waves but once you’ve learned to control, equalize and balance, then the whole sea is yours. There are many training classes available to learn Scuba.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling is the easiest, cheapest and most popular way to have eye-to-eye contact with the creatures that make the Great Barrier Reef famous. If you are not trained for the same, you need to try it on your own in the shallow water, once you are comfortable you can try diving in the deep waters and enjoy the beautiful marine life underneath.
Submarine
Fitzroy Island which is just offshore from Cairns. It provides the only submarine adventure on the Great Barrier Reef. You can leave the sandy beach behind and feel like you are actually diving without getting wet. Stare through the fish-eye windows and spot coral bommies, a lot of fishes and the turtles passing by.
Helicopter
the vastness of the Great Barrier Reef can only be experienced when you take to the air! Even if you are trying other adventures, the helicopter is going to give you a completely different feel. Don’t give it a second thought, strap yourself, put your headphones on and go up into the air by GBR Helicopters.
Seaplane
The Seaplace facilities are available on the Whitsundays beach. A day trip could take you over the 74 islands. They will take stop-off at Whitehaven Beach then they will take to the world-famous Heart Reef.
