Millions of wildebeest gather in the Masai Mara, which makes it natural wonders of the world. Masai Mara is a place for the whole year, a kaleidoscope of color and life. If you are planning to visit then try going in Most stunning of all are the months between  July and October. Between this month the Great Wildebeest Migration can be witnessed.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is named in honor of the Maasai people who inhabit its vast areas of natural beauty and abundant wildlife. They live in harmony with wildlife and nature!

The average daytime temperature is around 77 F from June to August while the nighttime lows are around 50 F. The Masai Mara is full of light around 12 hours for all of your luxurious outdoor African safari vacation. These weather and temperature make it accessible throughout the year.

Masai Mara Reserve experiences two dry seasons and two rainy seasons like all the other locations in Kenya. It is important, in fact, most important to plan the travel accordingly When the resources are scarce, the wildlife travel from the deep interiors to more open areas in search of food. The presence or absence of rainfall affects vegetation and water sources immensely.  The movement of animals is also affected in the same way. The long cool and dry season from July - October is considered to be the best time of year to visit Masai Mara.

The cool dry season is best and the costliest as visitors prefer this time. The dry season has a lot other benefits like animals are easier to observe, insect levels, including mosquitoes, are lower also the great migration happens this time of year.

The Great Migration that arrives in Masai Mara from the Serengeti National Park. Approximately 1.5 million wildebeests and hundreds of thousands of zebras, elands and gazelles cross the crocodile densed Mara River in the reserve in search of food and water.

Being the most optimal time, visitors are highest during this time of year. There are too many safari vehicles and human presence observed.

Don’t take Masai Mara is just a vacation, you may find a lot of spots from Discovery / National Geographic.
