New Zealand luxury travel - 5 tips to know before your trip
New Zealand is one of the most visited travel destinations in the world. It has some diverse and beautiful landscape that will leave you speechless. I had my wonderful month of New Zealand 3 months back. So here are my travel tips for you to read before your visit.

1. Use sunscreen
New Zealand’s sun is extremely harsh. It has a hole in the ozone layer. If you spend more than 10 minutes in the sun you are likely to come out looking like a burnt fellow. Make sure you take your brand of sunscreen and apply as an when you step out. You can also carry a lightweight umbrella to protect yourself from the sun.
2. Kiwis - the locals, love the outdoors
The ones who don’t know - The New Zealanders are known as Kiwis. The Kiwis love to walk barefoot. As and when they get chance they will remove their jandals and keep their toes into the grass, sand or water. Don’t feel awkward, in fact, join them for this.
3. Respect the culture and customs
Kiwis are very warm and relaxed people. They love their country and adventure. There are some do’s and don’ts to follow.
1. Don’t sit somewhere you keep food
2. Take off your shoes before entering a Marae
3. Keep to the left when walking on a footpath
4. Keep to the left, when driving
New Zealand has some tricky roads. It is usually windy and steep. If you are not confident, don’t try driving skills here. Kiwis drive on the left and walk on the left. One of the biggest problems the travelers face that New Zealand has when it comes to driving accidents is from foreigners driving on the wrong side of the road and crashing into traffic.
5. Keep it clean
New Zealand is an extremely clean country. It is best to keep it that way. Kiwis are very proud of the fact that they have a clean country(anyone would be)! Take all trash with you and keep the place clean!
If you decide to go camping then make sure you take everything with you. Not only for camping, to all your trips - Keep a trash bag with you, collect all the trash and throw that in the trash box.
These are very practical tips which do not take a lot of effort to follow but it will surely make your vacation to New Zealand a better one. I hope your next vacation to the luxury destination becomes the best one! Good luck.
